Three people, including an officer, were shot in Sunset, Louisiana, this afternoon, according to Louisiana state police.

According to the Associated Press, the shooting happened around 4:45 p.m. in the town, about 145 miles northeast of New Orleans.

Officials described the officer as "responsive," but did not have further details about his condition, the AP said.
