You don't need a "salt shaker" guide. You need to learn about life. When you know about bad stuff, bad stuff can't take over your life, because you can recognize it for what it is, and keep it out of any place that might conflict with the way you want to live your life, and deal with it competently while you are required co-exist with it. It happens from time to time.
"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can,
and the Wisdom to know the difference."
Bad things ALWAYS look pretty, and nice, and unconfrontational. There is no crack in that sugar armor. No conflicting opinion; nothing different than what you believe in.
That's how you know they have ulterior motives.
People run from psychology.
People think if you know stuff about the brain, you are going to trick them.
That's why I usually don't talk about this stuff.
But you know what? If you avoid this stuff; if you don't learn about it; you will never be able to purposely pick a job that is good for you, you won't know how to deal with a bad boss or co-workers,
and you won't know why life is happening "TO" You.
You will feel that you don't have any control over your own life.
That is why many seek to control others.
You don't have to control others. You CAN"T control others. But you can control how you react to others;
And by understanding you do think differently about others.
Understanding, knowledge, is power.
If you don't understand all people, how can you possibly work with all people? How can you write about people? How can you understand people?
How can you negotiate with people?
How can you make laws for people?
How can you talk to people outside your own experience?
Psychology is a NECESSARY understanding of people and what they need to survive.
I talk about things when you are ready to hear different, new, ideas. Otherwise we are both just wasting time, right? I don't like to do that. We are all very busy people, and real time is precious for all of us.
